Pat Obuchowski: The Coach

A relationship between a coach and a client is &ldqup;Designed” because it is customized to meet the exclusive needs of the client. It is an “Alliance” because both players are involved in making it work. Because of this “Designed Alliance”, it is important you know who I am and what qualifies me to be a part of our coaching relationship on a professional level.

First off, I am a life-long learner and a diehard optimist. I am passionate about the work I do. I believe it is critical for us to step into our bigness and play a Bigger Game in our lives. My motto: “Feel the GULP and do it anyway.”

I coach for results.

I believe we should master our strengths and manage our weaknesses, not the other way around.

Leadership in Business. I am the CEO (Chief Empowerment Officer) of inVisionaria, founded in 2002 as a leadership, business, team and life coaching and consulting company. I have my coaching certification through Coaches Training Institute; am a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF); and a certified Bigger Game leader and coach. I have also successfully completed Coaching Training Institute’s one year Co-Active Leadership program. I consistently add to my learnings of the coaching profession and current research and skills.

I have been in business at several different levels for over 25 years. I served in several management and leadership positions with companies such as Visa U.S.A., Otis Spunkmeyer, and General Electric. I was the CEO and partner in a woman owned fulfillment company. I am a founding member of the Silicon Valley Institute of Innovation. I understand business. I understand the politics.

I served as a Premier Coach with e-Women Network, the number one resource for women business owners in America where I coached over 100 women in support of growing their businesses. I understand how to grow a business.

I served as a Lead Leadership Coach at Pacific Gas & Electric Company. I understand Leadership and its role in inspiring change; moving through transitions successfully and not; and building teams that fully show up.

Leadership in Community. I have been actively involved in leadership positions in many community organizations. I served seven years on the Commission on the Status of Women in San Mateo County, and served as President of the Commission. I served on the Board for the Association of California Commissions on Women. I currently serve as a regional representative for the California Women’s Agenda. I have served on several non-profit boards and am currently serving on the Global Board of Directors for the International Coaching Federation. I co-founded Catalyst Youth Leadership Project. I understand the importance of giving back and paying forward.

Facilitation, Workshops, and Team Building. I have developed and delivered many public workshops related to life transitions, creating a business, working to your strengths, and visioning. I am certified in several individual and team assessments and have facilitated many strategic planning and team building sessions with for profits and non-profits. I served as a coach for the Girls Middle School Entrepreneur program and have been a facilitator for the “Women’s Financial Information Program” sponsored by AARP and the Soroptomists. I have also facilitated “An Income of Her Own“, a workshop for high school girls that encourages their participation in business and in the entrepreneurial spirit.

I served on the board of consultants of BoardNet, a program of the Volunteer Center in San Mateo County. BoardNet’s mission is to enhance the effectiveness of nonprofit boards of directors in San Mateo County through facilitation, consulting, and tailored workshops.

Education. Education. I am a Certified Professional Co-Active coach and a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation.
